THIS IS THE STORY OF

RILEY RHYS QUENTIN

So let’s get the basics out of the way, shall we? Riley isn’t fond of nicknames, so she’d very much appreciate it if you’d just call her by her given name. Although, if you insist on giving her a pet name, be forewarned that there’s a chance she might not respond to it at first, but given time they might just grow on her. She is quite obviously a young woman, and despite her somewhat immature tendencies she is twenty-three-years-old. Riley is a normal citizen of Erimo city and is not officially affiliated with any clan. She is however interested in the Clans and how they function. To summarize Riley’s outermost personality is an easy task. Passionate, reliable, and supportive, for those who managed to worm their way into her inner circle she can be a loyal and dedicated friend. For others, she can be the most difficult, frustrating, and obnoxious person in the world with her reckless ways, defiant attitude and explosive temper. It typically depends on the situation, but under most circumstances, it shouldn’t be too difficult to get along with her. Provided that you act in a civil manner, of course. If you’re looking for a romance with this spitfire, keep in mind that she is demisexual and that she won’t even begin to consider having romantic thoughts about a person unless they’ve made an emotional connection. MY HEART BEAT IS STRONGER

FRIENDSHIP

Riley isn’t very big on forming friendships. She’s amicable enough when socializing, but certain past experiences have rendered her hesitant in making new bonds with people. Because of this, she’s made it a point to maintain a certain distance between herself and her peers at all times. Despite her reluctance however, there have been a small number of people who have managed to work their way through her defences, and with a bit of determination and a whole lot of persistence, so could you. As a friend, Riley can be surprisingly affectionate. The young woman is incredibly fond of physical contact (despite her apparent dislike for it in public) and enjoys nothing more than having a nice cuddle with her closest to her. When with her friends, she visibly becomes more relaxed and cheerful, revealing a side of her personality, her true nature, which is usually kept hidden from the rest of the world. Along with being a protective and loyal companion, Riley also has the tendency of being clingy (if not outright possessive) and slightly obsessive of them. She’s the type who would constantly fuss about your well-being, and would drop everything that she’d been doing in order come to your aid should you request it of her. In short, towards those who have earned her trust and respect, Riley can be a dedicated and compassionate (if not at times overbearing) companion.

I’m looking for her to have a few close friends, some good acquaintances, and maybe a bestie who knows Riley better than she herself does.

ENEMIES

While Riley might have trouble making friends, the young woman seems to have a gift for attracting enemies. You see, she’s a stubborn and snarky little thing. All that coupled with her sharp tongue and short temper, well it’s no surprise that plenty of people find it easy to dislike her. This young woman also has a habit of challenging authority, and authoritative figures, in general. She has a bit of a complex against those with power, and if she so much as feels as though a person doesn’t deserve to have their position, she won’t hesitate to call you out on it. She also harbours a great dislike towards those who hurt her friends, and yet the girl hardly ever feels any sort of enmity towards those who have wronged her. Truly, she couldn’t care less about what those fools think of her. They are insignificant to her anyway. But harm her friends in any way and you’ll have one extremely pissed off individual to deal with, and seeing how vindictive a person she is, you can be certain that she’ll get you back for this transgression eventually.

I CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF OF YOU

LOVE/LUST

Now this here’s a slightly more difficult topic to broach. Aside from the fact that she has absolutely no experience in it, love honestly isn’t something that’s usually on her mind, and even if it was, she often finds herself thinking of the platonic kind, not the romantic. As a demisexual, the concept of love at first sight doesn’t apply to her and, true to her sexuality, if you’re not a part of her circle of friends you can bet that you won’t have a chance. One-night stands and quick flings will never fly by with her. As previously mentioned, Riley is inexperienced with love, and so she would likely have trouble expressing herself when the time comes (you can expect a whole lot of awkward stutters and shy glances from her at this point).

Both men and women are welcome here, provided that they’ve managed to befriend her first. The plan is for Riley to eventually realize that she’s attracted to her former pet SEED, Jakob Blaze, but that has yet to happen so she’s open to any plots/ideas in the meantime.

Isamu & Riley

Nicky here! I think these two would make good friends. I mean, Isamu is good friends with everyone since he's such a sweetheart. He is a SEED or a raccoon dog and tends to act just like the fluffy, cuddly canine he is. He is a part of Cyrus's band and spends most of his time singing, many say he has a voice so beautiful it seem supernatural. So if Riley is into music than she can connect with Isamu easily. I think that although Riley is reluctant to make friendships that Isamu's kindness towards everyone, even her, would make her give in. Nobody can resist this face!?

Ahem. Right, so random outburst aside… Yes! I think these two would indeed make good friends. Their love for music would play a big role in this (as would his singing) and the fact he’s just so cuddly friendly would make it all the more easier for her to grow comfortable around him. And yes, there is no freakin’ way that she could resist that face! XD Just a warning though, Riley tends to act in a different way than usual when with friends, so if she ever finds out he’s a SEED, and that his other form is a big, fluffy raccoon dog, she’s gonna start demanding hugs. /shot

I think that their love for music would be the most defining fact of their friendship. Isamu is really connected to signing since Raccoon dogs are very vocal creatures. And the cool Japanese myth says they come out during the spring and turn human and sing, which is cool. And I feel like once Isamu really warmed up to Riley he would allow her to cuddle him all she wanted. He'd change form and let her snuggle him all she liked. And he would probably feel safe around her since she wouldn't bring up his fear of falling in love and getting heart broken since Riley is a beautiful lady and not a handsome gentleman. I think the best way for them to meet might be when Isamu is lounge singing? Or possibly pub singing? Then maybe Riley would have a way to connect with him? I'm not sure. I can start a thread if you like but I haven't been able to find any good thread templates so I haven't been able to post anywhere!

Shape shifting Raccoon Dogs that can sing? Definitely cool. I agree with you on the point that music will most likely have a big part in their friendship. Music is an integral part of Riley’s life. In a way, it’s her coping mechanism. Before she moved out to live on her own, she had a grand piano that she would often play as an outlet for her emotions. She couldn’t bring it along with her as her apartment wasn’t able to properly accommodate the instrument, so now she mostly just listens to music instead. And while she no longer actively expresses herself thorough playing, she’s able to appreciate all forms of the art, and would have a deep respect for those who love it as much as she does.

On another note, Riley would love Isamu to bits if he allowed her to cuddle him like that. The girl’s a closet cuddle monster with a soft spot for animals, so by allowing her to do so would make her day.

As for their first meeting, yes I believe that would work. Actually, if you’d like to go with that, I have an open thread for the Blue Star right here.
But we can always set up another thread for them if you’d prefer. I don’t mind waiting, and I know how difficult it can be to find that perfect (yet elusive) post template. > <
